Resolution 6: In Support of Case Management of Complex Business, Corporate and Commercial Litigation
WHEREAS, state court systems are called upon to resolve complex business, corporate and commercial matters; and
WHEREAS, specialized case management procedures, judicial education, and other resources are desirable for effective management of these cases; and
WHEREAS, the management of these cases may be less effective if they are handled via random assignment methods;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Conference of Chief Justices encourages states to study and, where appropriate, establish business courts or their equivalents for the effective management of complex corporate, commercial and business cases.
