In Support of the 2015 – 2020 National Agenda of the National Association for Court Management
RESOLUTION 3: In Support of the 2015 – 2020 National Agenda of the National Association for Court Management
WHEREAS, the National Association for Court Management (NACM) is a leading association of court professionals from all levels and types of courts, providing opportunities to increase member proficiency while working to improve the administration of justice; and
WHEREAS, for over a decade, the NACM National Agenda has driven program priorities and improvements in the field of court administration; and
WHEREAS, in 2013, NACM leadership began a review and assessment of their national agenda, giving consideration to the current status of court management and the increasing demands placed on courts; and
WHEREAS, as a result of that review and after thoughtful consideration, NACM revised its national agenda and adopted the following priorities for the coming five years (2015- 2020):
- Advance Excellence in Court Management
- Promote Fair and Accessible Justice
- Develop Leaders for Tomorrow's Challenges
- Utilize Technology to Promote Best Practices
- Enhance Public Perceptions of the Courts; and
WHEREAS, at their 2015 annual meeting, NACM members formally embraced these priorities as guiding principles;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Conference of Chief Justices and the Conference of State Court Administrators endorse NACM's 2015-2020 National Agenda.
